Middle school families, please join us for our second annual High School Options Fair. Several high schools from the surrounding areas will be in attendance to share with you information about their programs. It will be a good opportunity to learn what options are out there for your student for high school. The event is highly recommended for parents of 7th grade students in order to give you time to plan for the various requirements of admissions at many of the schools.

On Thursday we held an accreditation readiness review from AdvancED. The purpose of the review was determine if we were ready as a school to apply for accreditation. AdvancED is a world-wide accreditation body, with very rigorous standards. After attending the conference on Tuesday and Wednesday, I was almost convinced that we needed to wait another year. However, our reviewer felt much differently. Here are some of his thoughts...
Please make sure to take the annual parent survey from the GaDOE. The results directly impact our CCRPI score and provide us with valuable information to help us improve. In two parent homes, each parent should take the survey. The survey should only take a few minutes to complete.
The survey can be found at the link below...
Under county or district please choose State Charter Schools II
Under school select Liberty Tech Charter School
We have scheduled our Prospective Parent Info Sessions for this school year. Student recruitment for next year is just around the corner. If you have friends that might be interested in learning more about enrolling their student at Liberty Tech, please share the following dates. The info sessions will include details on the Liberty Tech model and how to enroll in this year's lottery.
There have been many questions running around this week about the lost and found process. To clarify these questions please review the following.
We changed the location of lost and found. Lost and found items are no longer being stored in the front office. Lost and found is being kept in the classroom.
Why the change in the lost and found location?
How is the change in location working?
What are some things that you can do to help with lost and found?
We hope that this clarifies any confusion around the lost and found process. If not, please feel free to contact any one of our front office staff and we will be glad to assist with further questions.

With the heavy rains that came through this week, we are reminded to make sure that everyone is aware of how inclement weather and school closing notices are posted.
In the case of school closing you will be notified in four ways. An email using this same platform will be sent out. A message will be sent out through the Infinite Campus platform. The closing will be posted to our website and social media pages. The closing will be posted on the Channel 2 Action News channel. It is important to note that the news channel will say Liberty Tech Charter School. Though often very similar, the Fayette County Schools closing posting is not the same message for us.
